For those of you not aware, my dog Resins health has been deteriorating rapidly the past few weeks. A little more than a week ago he lost the use of his hind legs. He also appears to have lost control of his bodily functions as a well.
Kathy just got back from the vet who indicated he either has a growth on his spinal cord or a damaged disc which is causing his problems. Although there are procedures that may alleviate the issues, the vets advised us that the prognosis for a dog of Resins age isn't good (the surgeries are more likely to kill him than help him).
That being the case, he'll be spending one last night with the family and tomorrow I'll be taking him in to be put down.
I just figured some of you would want to know this as I'm sure you'll miss the lazy pooch almost as much as we will.
