Holy hell-- an appearance on the board by a member of the WWFFL! I thought that you guys were too busy stroking each other re: your great league to actually worry about little things like actually participating in said league. Your side of the forum is a damn ghost town...

don;t you know John.. all the WWFFlers hang out together so they do all their trash talking and FF analysis in person... that's why Jason created this site for them...

oh... wait...

Anyway - we should all know by now that it is only the fact that the WWFFL uses a salary cap/auction system that makes them soooooooooooooo great and so much better than the CAFFL.

I would give up all the excitement, intrigue, classic bets, trash talking, trades, team analysis, etc. if I could have just that ONE DAY of true fantasy excitement that only an auction can provide. Unless of course I blow my wad in the first 15 minutes to only feel a need to be the auctioneer so I would have something to do...

No matter how much they may argue, the WWFFL owners (with a few obvious exceptions) are disinterested/uninvolved. No rule can make up for that lack of enthusiasm. There is more to being a good owner than merely turning in a lineup...

Mitch, you need to cut back on the eyeroll smilies. Eyeroll smilies make me want to bash someone's skull in with a pipe wrench.

As far as the posting goes - I'm watching preseason, checking the stats, position battles, etc. The cards have been dealt on our side and the time for BS has ended. It's back to business in the WWFFL.

I wouldn't mind seeing everyones roster though, as it's always the right time for wheeling and/or dealing.

Yeah, and why are you guys sullying our side of the board with CAFFL drivel?

Go back to your Roach Motel you call a fantasy league.

Thank goodness your league members can be entertained by message board posts. We at the WWFFL are actually more entertained by what goes happens on the field and the scoreboard. But I guess we would be in the same boat as the CAFFL if our league championship had been determined a month prior to draft day.

Let me know when competion arrives to the CAFFL. Then your league could start comparisons on which is the superior league.

WOW... you guys actually watch the football games... well that surely seperates you all from the rest of the Fantasy Football world... what a concept... watching the games... maybe if our league started to watch the games... we would be even better... like the WWFFL.

And exactly whom did you already assign our league trophy too... far as I can tell... we have about 5 rock solid teams who will easily contend for the title.

Where are you posting from? Fantasy Island? If the Empire's starting lineup all perish b4 week one then they will only be a slight favorite. Short of that the John's team wins without a doubt. Even the "Rip Van Winkle" of FF could see this. At the WWFFL preauction party we were laughing it up and congratulating John on his victory. Funny he didn't mention 5 competitive teams....

I can tell you that a lot fewer NFL games would be watched in most leagues as uncompetitive as the CAFFL. Your league members must really, really, really love NFL football because there is no fantasy reason to watch except to scout for next year's keepers.

Funny that you don't mention Rick's team going into last year... I think his team compared to the talents of John's team this year... and we all know what happened to Rick last year.

Let's see:

Poets have Culpepper, Taylor, Bennett, Moss, A Johnson.
Strife has Vick, Dillon, R Johnson, Westbrook, Harrison.
Council has McNabb, Alexander, Lewis.
Avengers have Manning, Holmes, Faulk, Ward, Mason.

shall I continue? unless if you think those teams will not compete... then I guess not.

Teams that are building via our great system:

Breeders have Hasselback, C Brown, Suggs, D Jackson, Shockey
Waxx have Portis, Henry, Coles, Gonzo

of course we have a few Jimmy's in the league (sorry Jim) but I am really starting to think our league competes as does the NFL. Strong teams compete and lesser teams rebuild... and can rebuild for that matter and be competitive in 2 seasons.
