You make my point for me - and you don't even realize it.

I would point out the flaws in your flaccid arguments - but then I would be providing a free analysis. If you would like to send me a check then I would be happy to explain why none of those teams will compete with John and why no one expected Rick to run away with the championship last year. (Although no one expected him to suck to such a high degree)

But then Rick always exceeds sucking expectations.

I was the victim of terrible luck - every one of my players underperformed. Couple that with the fact that I had 200 more points scored against me than the next closest team. I still was 4th in points.

I should mop up this year too, unless the FF gods frown upon me again.

I've heard the same thing about 6 different years.

I sat next to you at the auction last year - that was the problem. God looked down and for a second mistook me as breaking bread with a serpent - a lowly scoundrel.

I knew you intentionally left me that seat so you could nose in on my private FF notes - and my suspicions were confirmed when I found you rooting through my deep-sleeper sheet, your red eyes blazing in wonderment as you soaked up the revelations of a true FF mastermind.

God's punishment was swift and terrible.

Maybe for sneaking a peek at your secret documents this year.

I didn't exactly profit from it, though. It was a piece of construction paper with big red jumbo crayon printing that said "Steel Rick's cheet sheet".

Here I thought John was just practicing autofellatio [sic: I've created a monster] but it turns out he has several WWFFL lips wrapped around his dinky dong too.

I'd have the same team (or one similar in quality) in the WWFFL. Don't kid yourself. It would just be a race between Scott and me to see who could rob the unknowing fools of their talent first. I was a used-car salesman in a former life...

There are several other teams that can easily compete with the Empire this year. If Tom trades some of his backfield depth for a stud WR or two, his team will be every bit as good as mine. Joe's team is as good as mine also, provided he gets decent production from either Duckett or Bennett at RB2. Clay and Mel will also threaten for the title provided a few things break the right way.

Having the best team on paper at the beginning of the season means squat anyway. The level of competition in the CAFFL is, if anything, higher than it is in the WWFFL. Don't you guys who were formerly in the West just take turns with the championship every year? You really just have a three team league over there...

Tony, you have easily the weakest team in the division. You are "No Threat" to the Empire. Besides, you'll blow it at the draft anyway.

Pollard in the 5th, anyone?

Oh wait, I forgot. This is the year that Edge returns to his 2200/18 form of 1999.

i love the caffl..not an auction fan much either..but oily may be right john should win the ring this season..they all laughed and patted backs..congrats to the the victor..and not a down has thus been played yet..sad indeed to go into a another year in our short lives knowing it's just another donation..a tribute of sorts to belong..to ease the jones..but what chance do you have against that line-up?? one league of vets(or ship of fools) has already crowned our new champ.. complete with a party and refreshments!! yes, i helped create this monopoly..you know i fall in love with my players and don't trade much..but not making the playoffs for the first time in such an ugly manner(3-11) i got desperate, i took a risk..i hope IF i pick dom up again he suceeds without the gm pulling strings for hollings(who really doesn't look all that..yet)anywho i gave t.o to john a huge lift for that team and now he gets heap and holt..turn out the lights the parties over..remember before in our redraft league league that sensation in your gut just before the draft doing your homework and scouting..there was always hope and a chance this was going to be your year..no silly trades and picks to deal with..now that feeling you got is a burning ulcer cuz ya screwed!! pepcid works the best for me...let's face it boys if we all owned car lots..who'd you think be kicking our asses in sales?? just go find the lobby with the caffl trophy ball..btw my friend brownie and his 14 team league had there draft at sementos on monday and all was well..they had a good and private time..i talked with tony semento and all is good..i think we'll enjoy this location as well..

A lot can happen over the course of a season. Everyone appears to be annointing my team as the eventual champ, but I am not counting those chickens just yet. One injury is all it takes (knocking furiously on the faux-wood computer desk)...
